We are late to the party, as usual

I’d seen one or two episodes of “Flight of the Conchords” before but kind of wasn’t into it. Kristyn’s co-worker recommended it to her and lent us Season One INSISTING we’d like it. Well we’ve had it for a month and we HAVE to give it back. Kristyn put it on yesterday to at least watch a few episodes while I was out.

She got really into it and put it on for me. We’re almost done with the whole first season and want to watch the second. It’s not exactly belly laugh funny but so good. The humor is subtle and all the characters are so sweet. A lot of the humor comes from all of the characters’ naïveté haha.

Anyway, here’s the opening. I really like it and won’t let Kristyn fast-forward through it haha:

This is the episode we are currently watching:

The show’s two main characters, Bret and Jemaine are in a “novelty band”. Murray is their clueless manager who only books them at terrible venues, if at all. Mel is their only fan. She is obsessed with them and makes constant unwanted sexual overtures at them. She tends to follow them around and drag her husband with her haha. Anyway here is the song they always perform at “gigs”.

The Lost Finale is about to come on!

I’m writing on here because I am alone. Kristyn’s at work and I can’t talk to anyone or go online. I think the show is already over at home and just about to start for me. Still watching the pre-show. Crocheting a blanket that I’m going to call “Peanut Butter and Jelly”. Made myself two cups of tea to drink. One for now and one as a backup. Can NOT fall asleep during Lost. Tomorrow we are hoping that Lost goes online because Kristyn needs to watch it.

And I’m going to make a bet and say that I’m really going to like this finale. I really liked Tuesday’s episode a lot which has basically been the exception to the rule this season. It’s not that I thought this season was bad, it just wasn’t exciting. This show is more fun when it’s asking questions, not answering them.

Anyway, the show starts in 15 mins. So excited! Wish Kristyn was here!
